COMMENTS
Ø. 166. Written down 1954. Haukjem had this slått from Steinar Gladheim, of Veggeli, Numedal. 113a-f are variants. This slått is believed to be named after a boy who had been christened Værn. He lived in Vågdal, and refused to work, walking around in rags and earning the synonym of Fill-(ragged)værn. B.s., Slåttesegner, Setesdal, p. 1.
