COMMENTS
G. 451. Written down in 1922. Fille-Vern was a fiddler of whom we know very little. Cf. R. Berge: Spelmenn frå Telemark in Norges Musikhistorie I, p. 139. He is believed to have been christened Vern and acquired the nickname of Fille-Vern (literally Ragged-Vern ) because as a boy he wore ragged clothes.
