COMMENTS
B. 1287. Written down in 1938. Strand heard this slått from Asle Øyno senior, of Ål, who called it "Fanitullen". There was something bold, virile and Norwegian about this slått, especially the last phrase. People usually danced it when they were in a good mood. Bars 18-24 resemble slightly the common Iydar slått "Fanitullen". It is possible that this is a very old form of certain bars in the "listening stått" mentioned, but this halling after Strand must be considered as an independent slått.
