COMMENTS
(The Veum Slått) B. 578 and Gl. Sl. h. 3 No. 6. Written down in 1911. Dale had learnt the slått in 1850 from Petter Veum, Fyresdal, after whom the slått is named. The text of the slått, see Rikard Berge, Norsk Yisefugg Kra. 1904 pp. 201 and 208, and Bernt Støylen, Norske barnerim og leikar. Kra. 1899 p. 20 No. 118. From bar 13 the slått is faintly reminiscent of Fykeruden.
